Ace Fixings is one of Northern Ireland's leading independent distributors and stockists of fixings and professional power tools to the Construction Industry. We are expanding and are looking for an enthusiastic, organised, and highly motivated E-commerce & Customer Service Assistant to join our team.
This role is crucial for driving our online revenue, maintaining the efficiency of our digital platforms, and ensuring an outstanding experience for both our online and traditional customers. The Role:
The successful candidate will be a key contributor to the growth of our website revenue and performance. You will act as key support to the Website & Digital team. Be able to support marketing initiatives, and serve as an important administrative and customer service link for our sales operation.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer & Sales Support
Act as a point of contact for customer inquiries via phone and email, providing professional and timely assistance on product, order, and delivery status questions
Process and manage online customer orders and returns accurately and efficiently within the internal system
Resolve customer issues and complaints with empathy and urgency, escalating complex technical or sales-related problems to the appropriate team members
Essential Requirements:
Experience preferred in a customer service, online sales environment
Exceptional organisational skills with an ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills both written and on the phone
E-commerce & Digital Support
Website Content Management: Assist in uploading and updating product listings on the e-commerce platform, ensuring accuracy in product descriptions, images, and pricing for optimal presentation
Assist in setting up marketplaces such as Amazon & Ebay
Digital Promotion: Assist in managing and implementing promotions, discounts, and special offers across the website to drive sales conversions
Social Media Support: Help create and schedule engaging content for our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) to increase brand presence and engagement
Essential Experience
A minimum of 2 years' experience in Customer or Sales Support, ideally within an ecommerce environment
A professional telephone etiquette
Clear and confident communicator, both verbally and in writing with a high standard of spelling and grammar
A positive, can-do attitude and a passion for delivering excellent customer service
Highly organised with the ability to prioritise effectively
Desirable Experience
Knowledge and experience of working with ecommerce platforms such as Shopify, EBAY & Amazon
Experience with content creation tools (e.g., Adobe Express or Canva)
Knowledge of order processing and ecommerce fulfilment workflows
High proficiency with IT systems, particularly Microsoft Excel. Training will be provided as necessary
This is a full-time permanent position based in our Ballymena head office.
Monday - Friday 8.00am - 5.00pm (alternate Friday's finish at 1pm)
Competitive salary dependent on experience
