Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable

Edgebander Setter/Operator

to join our production team. We are a manufacturer and supplier of shop fittings to an array of retail customers and other sectors, including blue chip household names.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining edgebanding machinery to ensure high-quality panel processing and efficient workflow in our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and adjust edgebander machines (e.g., Accura, Homag, Biesse, Brandt, SCM, etc.). Read and interpret technical drawings and production schedules. Monitor machine performance, ensuring productivity and quality standards are met. Inspect finished panels for accuracy, finish, and adherence to specifications. Troubleshoot machine issues and carry out routine maintenance. Ensure safe working practices and maintain a clean, organised work area. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily targets.

Requirements

Previous experience as an Edgebander Operator or in a similar woodworking machinery role. Strong knowledge of edgebanding processes, materials, and machine adjustment. Ability to read and understand technical drawings. Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Understanding of health & safety practices in a manufacturing environment.

Desirable

Experience with CNC or other woodworking machinery. Forklift/warehouse experience. Knowledge of laminate, ABS, PVC, and veneer edging materials.
