About the Role
As an Education Support Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to provide tailored academic and emotional support to students. Your role will involve assisting in the classroom, delivering targeted interventions, and helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
About the school
The school is an education setting based for 16 - 25+ years old with Special Educational Needs. It is based on 350 acres of beautiful Dorset countryside. The school operate enterprise activities and vocational teaching methods to bridge the gap between education and employment for young people and adults with SEN in Dorset and the local area. The school focuses on vocations like horticulture, agriculture, equine skills and animal care as well as many more, to enrich the lives and education of its pupils.
Key Responsibilities of Education Support Assistant

• Support students in the classroom, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively.
• Provide one-to-one or small group interventions to reinforce learning.
• Assist with the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
• Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging engagement and motivation.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
• Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements for Education Support Assistant

• Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
• A genuine interest in supporting students' learning and well-being.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• A valid UK driving licence is desirable.
• Relevant qualifications or training in education or support work are advantageous.
