Role:



As an

Electrical Maintenance Technician

, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our equipment and systems. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting maintenance operations, troubleshooting electrical issues, and implementing improvements that drive operational excellence and continuous growth.

Responsibilities:



Perform preventive, reactive and corrective maintenance on CNC machines, Welding cladding rigs, control systems and plant equipment. Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic equipment, including PLCs, drives, motors, cables and HMIs. Diagnosing equipment issues using electrical schematics, multimeters and diagnostic software. Carryout out facilities maintenance. Support mechanical team members during equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime. Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and lockout/tagout (LOTO) Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.

Skills & qualifications:



Time served electrical apprenticeship. City and Guilds in Electrical Engineering/NC in engineering/ or equivalent. Qualified to 17th Edition IEE regulations (18th Edition desirable only) Good overall electrical knowledge with experience of planned maintenance schedules. Read and implement electrical drawings. Ability to read and implement hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical drawings would be advantageous. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Computer literate. (Microsoft office suite). CNC experience would be an advantage. PLC experience, Siemens step 7 desirable. Proactive and problem solve with own initiative. Able to work individually and as part of a team.
