We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee electrical operations within our organisation. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership capabilities, along with comprehensive technical expertise in electrical systems. This role involves supervising a team of technicians, managing projects, and ensuring the maintenance and safety of electrical infrastructure. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in maintaining operational efficiency and safety standards across all electrical activities.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise a team of electrical technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work standards.
Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of electrical projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints.
Manage maintenance schedules for electrical systems, including troubleshooting and repairs to minimise downtime.
Interpret and develop schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings to facilitate installation and maintenance tasks.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to electrical work, conducting risk assessments as necessary.
Collaborate with other departments to coordinate project requirements and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Maintain accurate documentation of all electrical activities, including inspections, repairs, and upgrades.
Provide training and mentorship to junior staff to foster professional development within the team.
Requirements
Proven management experience with a strong background in supervising electrical teams or projects.
Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and maintenance procedures.
Mechanical knowledge relevant to integrated systems is desirable.
Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong organisational skills with the capacity for effective project management from inception to completion.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering including but not limited to; 2391 Inspection & Testing / 18th addition qualified.
