Norfolk & Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT) are looking for a skilled Electrician to join our existing multi-disciplinary professional maintenance team in providing a safe environment for all service users, staff and visitors across our Suffolk sites being based in Ipswich.

Main duties of the job




The successful candidate would be flexible, enthusiastic, self-motivated and confident in being part of a team that provides a comprehensive maintenance service in a unique varied environment.



Duties & Responsibilities Associated with this role:


to provide a comprehensive service to include all aspects of planned and routine maintenance to repair and maintain a wide range of electrical services and equipment on site fault finding and diagnosis routine inspections to ensure our estate is safe and fully compliant ensuring all work is performed in accordance with the requirements of Health & Safety and other relevant legislation will be required to participate as a member of the On-Call Team providing an emergency out of hours service on a rotational basis

Recognised & registered EITB minimum 3 year apprenticeship as in Electrical Engineering City & Guilds 236 Parts A & B OR City & Guilds 2330 Electro Technical Technology inc. AM1 & AM2 or equivalent OR NVQ Level 3 in electrical engineering City & Guilds BS7671 - 18th Edition of the I.E.E. Regulations Full UK driving licence for ability to drive Trust vehicles

Desirable criteria




BTEC ONC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Portable Appliance Test Certificate C&G or equivalent - Unvented Hot Water Storage Systems
