This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled solicitor with strong experience in employment law to provide comprehensive advice, manage contentious and non-contentious matters, and represent clients before tribunals and courts.
You will handle a diverse caseload including unfair dismissal, discrimination, redundancy, whistleblowing, and breach of contract claims, as well as advising on contracts, policies, and internal procedures. The role requires an excellent understanding of UK employment legislation and best practice, alongside the ability to deliver strategic and practical advice to clients.

Key Responsibilities:
Advise clients on all aspects of UK employment law, including individual and collective employment rights, discrimination law, and workplace disputes.
Draft and review employment contracts, service agreements, policies, and staff handbooks to ensure compliance with the Employment Rights Act 1996, Equality Act 2010, Working Time Regulations 1998*, and related legislation. Represent clients in Employment Tribunal proceedings and alternative dispute resolution processes such as ACAS conciliation and mediation.
Provide practical guidance on disciplinary and grievance procedures in line with the ACAS Code of Practice*. Manage cases involving redundancy, TUPE, settlement agreements, restrictive covenants, and employment status disputes.
Conduct legal research and keep up to date with developments in employment law and case law.
Liaise with HR departments, business owners, and employees to provide tailored, pragmatic legal advice.
Draft pleadings, witness statements, and settlement documents for contentious matters.
Ensure compliance with the SRA Code of Conduct and maintain accurate and confidential client files.
Deliver clear, client-focused advice with exceptional attention to detail and professionalism.

The Person
Qualified Solicitor (England and Wales)
Strong background in employment law, both contentious and non-contentious
In-depth understanding of UK employment legislation and tribunal procedure
Excellent negotiation and advocacy skills
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail
Proactive, client-focused, and confident managing cases independently
Experience with legal case management systems is an advantage
