Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Environmental Lead, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of Environmental Statements and Field Development plans for the company\'s Projects.
  • Establishes and maintains open, proactive and responsive relationships with industry/community stakeholders and governmental agencies. Serves as a representative and leader for the company on various trade associations, industry advisory groups and at appropriate public forums.
  • Lead and collaborate across the business, with operators and relevant supply chain to effectively collect and manage the data, delivering against timeframes driven by annual reporting and stakeholder requirements.
  • Maintain digital systems and support the development of new tools on emissions database to be used by internal stakeholders.
  • Be a technical expert on emissions and be knowledgeable on latest developments.
  • Work closely with the company\'s ESG Lead and support the overall ESG Agenda across the company by supporting the following :-
  • Development of tools that further help quantify the economic impacts of compliance activities with respect to GHG and other abatement actions against business as normal investments.
  • Support the development of targets and plan on emission reduction within all scopes. Optimize carbon footprint and environmental impacts reduction strategies in different scenarios.
  • Horizon scan and communication information pertaining to the carbon markets and other regulations.
  • Business development support providing emission data and evaluating the impact of M&A opportunities on the company\'s portfolio.
  • Support strategic partnerships and knowledge management on emissions.
Experience & Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in the Environmental Field, especially within the Oil & Gas Sector or high hazard industry.
  • Strong working knowledge of regulatory requirements. Proven ability to apply systems thinking and continuous improvement concepts. Strong working knowledge of UKCS Oil & Gas Regulations.
  • Knowledge of the calculation methods of GHG used by government bodies.
  • Environmental, Science or Engineering bachelor\'s degree, Postgraduate in Environmental Engineering or Science
  • Work experience in environmental field, related to emissions, carbon trading, in any organisation.
