About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on IT Specialist to lead the implementation, integration, and support of our ERP system, inventory management software, and handheld scanner infrastructure for our warehouse operations. This is a pivotal role in our journey towards full digitisation and operational excellence in logistics and supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities
ERP Implementation & Support
Oversee the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of our ERP system across the business
Integrate ERP with inventory, finance, procurement, and logistics workflows
Act as the primary liaison with ERP vendors and manage support requests or customisations
Inventory Management Systems (IMS)
Ensure effective inventory tracking and data integrity across multiple warehouse locations
Optimise inventory processes and system configurations for bin-level, multi-location stock management
Support teams with training and troubleshooting
Warehouse Scanner System Deployment
Lead the technical implementation of mobile handheld scanner systems (e.g., Zebra devices)
Configure scanners to integrate with WMS/ERP platforms for pick/pack, receiving, and stock movement
Manage device setup, software configuration, and user testing
Develop and document best practices for warehouse scanning workflows
Data Analytics & Forecasting
Analyse inventory trends, stock movements, and purchasing data to support operational decisions
Develop tools or reports for inventory forecasting, reorder levels, and stock optimisation
Support inventory planning and procurement with data-driven insights
System Integration & Automation
Work closely with logistics, purchasing, and finance departments to automate processes and reporting
Support data migration, cleansing, and mapping between legacy and new systems
Ensure robust reporting and analytics via ERP or BI tools
Training & Documentation
Train users across departments on new systems and functionalities
Develop technical documentation and training materials for internal use
Requirements
Proven experience with ERP systems (e.g., Cin7, Unleashed, NetSuite, or similar)
Strong understanding of warehouse and inventory management systems
Hands-on experience implementing scanner-based systems in a warehouse environment
Strong analytical skills, particularly for inventory management and demand forecasting
Technical background (ideally in IT Systems, Computer Science, or Information Management)
Proficient in data handling (imports/exports, Excel, SQL basics preferred)
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and translate operational needs into technical solutions
Experience working in fast-paced, hands-on environments (logistics, distribution, or manufacturing preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of WMS processes such as pick/pack/dispatch, multi-bin location tracking, and cycle counts
Familiarity with scanner systems / Android-based industrial handhelds
Project management experience for software implementation
Experience with Xero or other accounting software integrations is a plus
