Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating project costs and preparing accurate estimates for various projects. This role requires a strong understanding of cost control and the ability to analyse project specifications and requirements. The Estimator will work closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure that all estimates are comprehensive and competitive.

Duties

Review project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work. Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labour, and equipment. Collaborate with project managers to develop budgets and timelines. Conduct site visits to gather relevant data for accurate estimations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, pricing, and regulations. Analyse historical data to improve future estimating processes. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding cost control. Present estimates to clients and stakeholders in a clear and professional manner.

Experience

Proven experience as an Estimator or in a similar role within the construction industry. Strong understanding of cost control principles and practices. Proficiency in using estimating software and tools. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively with team members, clients, and suppliers. A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
