Company Overview
Due to a new contract award in Wolverhampton we are recruiting for SIA trained security officers to support us in both the Civic Halls and Wulfrun Centre venues.
Although these venues would be your primary shift location, you would also have opportunity to cover various other roles across our wider portfolio.
Role Purpose
As a valued member of the team, you will also assist with conflict resolution, provide attendee assistance, and maintain clear communication with the security team and event organisers to create a secure and positive event experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
Access control and queue management, including pedestrian and vehicle access points.
Monitoring crowd dynamic and movement
Conducting security and response patrols
Operating surveillance and screening equipment
Conducting bag searches and providing a safe and secure environment.
Ensure all permitted visitors receive a 'high end' customer experience from entry to exit.
Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate accordingly
Ensure risk assessment and event briefs are always followed to meet requirements
Take effective action in an emergency and co-operate fully with the relevant services
Enforce all relevant health and safety requirements at all times
Carry out any other duties of a reasonable request by the client
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Previous experience in a similar security or event-based role is desirable
Strong situational awareness and ability to remain calm under pressure
Knowledge of basic security protocols and emergency response procedures
Comfortable engaging with the public in a confident and approachable manner
Awareness of venue safety procedures and crowd control principles
IT literacy and experience using radios, surveillance systems or access control devices is an advantage
All applicants must be able to provide a verifiable 5-year work history in line with BS7858 standards and have the legal right to work in the UK.
Pay: 13.20 per hour
