The Role: Event Manager



We are seeking a highly organised, proactive

Event Manager

to join our team and lead the delivery of a diverse range of own-initiative events. This is a dynamic and hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives on responsibility, creativity, and seeing complex projects through from concept to completion.

You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of multiple international events, taking full ownership from initial concept through to final execution. This includes managing timelines, budgets, and stakeholder engagement, while ensuring each project meets its strategic objectives and delivers meaningful, high-quality outcomes.

This role is well suited to someone with a strong background in event logistics and project management, who combines meticulous attention to detail with fresh ideas and a solutions-driven approach.

Key Responsibilities



Collaborate as part of a dynamic team to deliver high-quality international policy events. Lead the planning and execution of a variety of own-initiative events, working closely with company directors and taking full responsibility for all logistical and operational aspects of specific projects. Establish timelines, deadlines, and key project milestones, and overseeing progress to ensure delivery targets are met. Manage event budgets, including forecasting, tracking, and controlling costs to ensure financial objectives are achieved. Engage directly with senior-level speakers, stakeholders, and policymakers. Coordinate all speaker, delegate and partner communications, providing exceptional service and support throughout the event cycle. Organising and delivering pre-event briefings for staff to ensure clear responsibilities, smooth operations, and alignment with event objectives. Oversee on-the-day event logistics to ensure seamless delivery Develop and maintain event websites using an internal CMS, and managing virtual event platforms as required. Contribute to post-event analysis and reporting. Work closely with the marketing team to support event promotion, audience outreach, and the delivery of effective communications across all channels. Lead on post-event reporting and follow-up, both internally and externally, to capture outcomes, insights, and opportunities for improvement.

Essential Criteria



Previous experience in project or event management. Strong organisational skills; able to manage multiple projects with attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication. Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset. Good understanding of event delivery processes. Comfortable working independently and collaboratively. Proactive, quality-focused, and detail-driven. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Creative thinker with a solutions-focused approach. Strong problem-solver, confident engaging with technical teams. Eligible to live and work in the United Kingdom. Willingness and ability to travel internationally for meetings and conferences.

Desirable Experience



Experience delivering events in an international or policy-focused context. Familiarity with virtual event platforms and hybrid event delivery. Basic design skills (e.g. Canva, Adobe Photoshop) for creating visual event materials

Working Hours and TOIL (Time Off in Lieu)



Standard hours: 37.5 hours/week, typically 9:00am-5:30pm, Monday-Friday. Additional hours may be required around event periods. TOIL can be granted at the discretion of the Company Directors. Attendance at international events counts as standard working time. TOIL may be granted for additional travel or duties up to 1.5 hours per weekday 6 hours total across a weekend (4 hours if travel occurs on only one day)
