The job in a nutshell
You will provide administrative support to our Events & Experiences (E&E) team, which is responsible for selling, organising and operating the successful delivery of all social, corporate, ticketed and colleague events that take place within the Berry Bros. & Rudd portfolio. This is an ideal role for someone looking to enter the wine & spirits trade.
Who you will work with
Internal: Events & Experiences Team including our Kitchen and Front of House Teams, Marketing Team, Account Manager Team, London Shop, Cellar Team, Buying, Finance
External: BB&R Customers, Producers
What you will do
General:
Provide administrative assistance to the Events & Experiences team as directed by the Events Manager
Compile and print tasting sheets, menus and attendance lists for tastings, lunches and dinners held in our cellars
Assist with organisation and administration of internal events, from lunches and dinners for our Account Manager team and customers, to organising events for external wine and spirit producers.
Prepare the weekly Chef's Update each week, liaising between the office, kitchen and front of house teams to ensure all information is accurate
Assist with overseeing the Events diary, ensuring that bookings are accurate and up to date
Assist with events enquiries, including managing waiting lists and cancellations for ticketed events
Other ad-hoc administrative duties as required by the team
Office management - ensuring office supplies and paper is ordered and the office remains clean and organised
Help the Ticketed team when needed with ticketed events codes from set up to delivery
Manage the Events and Experiences Team general inbox to make sure enquiries are responded to in a timely manner or shared with the correct team for response.
Help to organise Charity lunches in our spaces
What you will bring to the role
Experience / Achievements
Previous demonstrable administration experience
Proven ability to plan and organise events effectively, with an acute sense of detail
An understanding of what excellent service looks like in all areas
Your Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours
An interest in fine wine and spirits (WSET training will be available if required)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Demonstrate excellent proof-reading skills and attention to detail
Exceptionally organised and able to juggle multiple competing demands
Ability to think through the event from the customer perspective
