EWIS Design Engineer



About the Role:



We are seeking an experienced

EWIS Design Engineer

to join our team and contribute to cutting-edge Research & Technology (R&T) projects, including future WING design. You will play a key role in designing electrical connection elements and associated technologies within an aeronautical environment, specifically in the wing domain.

Key Responsibilities:



Develop and deliver design office outputs for R&T projects under the guidance of technical leaders. Take ownership of a full work package, from concept to final maturity level. Conduct pre-studies, technological comparisons, and state-of-the-art research. Prepare simulations, engineering notes, calculation sheets, and risk/functional analyses. Create technical specifications and documentation for TRL justification. Produce detailed 3D and 2D designs using

CATIA V5

and/or

3DExperience

. Select and liaise with manufacturing and test partners, ensuring progress and compliance. Validate prototypes and develop test plans, including test rig design if required. Compile test reports and contribute to Intellectual Property dossiers when necessary.

Skills & Experience Required:



Strong background in

Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS)

design within aerospace. Proficiency in

CATIA V5

and/or

3DExperience

CAD tools. Knowledge of R&T environments, procedures, and demonstrator development processes. Experience in risk analysis, functional analysis, and technical documentation. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.


Qualifications



Degree qualified or time served in the relevant areas
