About Us:

Koka is a well-loved, family-run restaurant blending Mediterranean and Italian cuisine, with a focus on fresh ingredients, homemade sourdough pizzas, and seasonal specials. We're looking for an

experienced and passionate chef

to join our kitchen team and help deliver consistent, high-quality dishes in a warm and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a variety of Mediterranean and Italian dishes to a high standard Oversee food preparation and service, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation Work efficiently during busy services while maintaining attention to detail Contribute to menu development and specials, bringing creativity and ideas to the kitchen Maintain excellent food hygiene and safety standards at all times Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and ensure proper storage Train and support junior kitchen staff as needed Communicate clearly with the team to ensure smooth service

Requirements:

Experience in a professional kitchen, preferably with Italian/Mediterranean cuisine Skilled in working with fresh ingredients, pasta, fish, and pizza is a plus Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks during service Knowledge of food safety and kitchen procedures (Level 2 Food Hygiene or above preferred) Strong team player with good communication skills Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
