Job Overview

In this role, you will operate an extruder machine to produce quality products and meet production schedules.

Must be able to work rotating 12-hour schedule (4 day on, 4 day off, 4 nights on, 4 nights off).

Job requirements:

Run Equipment

: You will run an extruder machine to create film. You will perform basic maintenance and communicate any major issues to your team leader.

Paperwork:

You will read, understand and follow job cards which will detail the specific information required for each job that is manufactured.

Compliance:

You will ensure departmental compliance with all certification requirements and will maintain good housekeeping practices in accordance with ISO/BRC standards.

Responsibilities

Operate extrusion machinery and equipment, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational guidelines. Fabricate products by setting up and adjusting machinery as per production requirements. Conduct regular inspections of equipment, performing basic maintenance and troubleshooting as needed. Utilise logic controllers to monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments during operation. Handle materials efficiently, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse. Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and improve workflow efficiency. Maintain accurate records of production output, machine settings, and any issues encountered during operations.

Qualifications

Minimum 1-year manufacturing experience is highly preferred. Strong communication skills (both written and verbal). Strong math, measurement and attention to detail skills. Ability to work well in a team and as an independent contributor.
