Experienced Kitchen Staff - Skilled in Salmon Preparation & Cooking

About Us

We are a busy takeaway restaurant in the UK looking for dedicated and experienced kitchen staff to join our back-of-house team. This role requires strong skills in salmon preparation, cooking, and general kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

Back of House Duties:

Preparing and portioning salmon (cutting by parts, filleting, trimming) Cooking and seasoning dishes according to recipes and standards Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area Proper storage and rotation of ingredients (FIFO method) Washing, sanitizing, and organizing kitchen tools and equipment Assisting chefs with food preparation and other kitchen tasks Following food safety and health regulations

General Duties:

Collaborate effectively with hall team members Help with opening and closing tasks, including setting up and cleaning Assist with stock checks and inventory management Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards Support colleagues in both kitchen and hall when needed Handle equipment and tools responsibly Maintain a positive and professional attitude during service

Requirements:

Previous kitchen experience, especially with fish or salmon preparation (preferred) Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety standards Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong teamwork and communication skills Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality service Eligibility to work in the UK

Additional Requirements:

Only applicants with prior experience in sushi making will be considered. We are looking for someone who is willing to work long-term. Flexible availability (shift schedules vary weekly, including weekdays and weekends)

Pay & Benefits:

Ages 16-17: 7.55 per hour Ages 18-20: 10.00 per hour Ages 21 and over: 12.21 per hour Salary may increase depending on completed training, job abilities, and attitude at work Workplace pension contributions
