Farnham Dene Medical Practice is a two site GP Practice which prides itself on delivering the best patient care across the area and supporting the wider Primary Care Network. The practice has 6 partners, 8 Salaried GP's, an Advanced Paramedic and a full nursing team including Nurse Practitioner and Healthcare Assistants. We are seeking a part time experienced Practice Nurse to join our healthcare team for up to 24 hours a week across both our sites. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care within a busy clinical environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to utilise their nursing skills and contribute to the well-being of our patients. The Practice Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing services, supporting doctors, and promoting health education. There is scope for development and they will be working alongside out Lead Nurse Manager in delivering exceptional care and follow up to our patients.
Duties
Delivering direct patient care, including wound management, injections, and health assessments
Assisting with patient examinations and procedures in accordance with clinical protocols
Administering vaccinations and immunisations as required
Monitoring patient vital signs and recording medical histories accurately
Providing health education and advice to patients on various health issues
Supporting the management of chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension
Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with data protection regulations
Assisting with administrative tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations
Participating in health promotion activities and community outreach programmes
Essential Criteria
Registered member of the Nursing Medical Council
Experience of working within a nursing team
Awareness and understanding of Infection Control procedures, baby and child immunisations, travel plans, cervical screening and wound care
Desirable Criteria
Experience of diabetes management, doppler assessment and contraception management
