Job Description

Churchside Medical Practice are a GP surgery based in the heart of Mansfield where we have been serving our patients for over 20 years and care for over 7,000 patients.

We are looking for an experienced Practice Nurse to join our team working 36 hours per week over 4 days. Working days would be a fixed Thursday and Friday and the remaining 2 days can be agreed with the successful candidate.

As an experienced Practice Nurse at Churchside you will play a crucial role in providing high quality care to our patients. You must be friendly, patient focussed, calm and organised, as well as someone who communicates well with people at all levels. We are seeking someone who provides compassionate care and has attention to detail. Ideally you will have experience working with SystmOne, but full training can be provided. In terms of your clinical capabilities, you should be someone who can confidently deal with the following patient needs;

1) Monitor Patient Vital Signs and record medical information accurately
2) Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
3) Conduct patient assessments and provide appropriate care
4) Cytology
5) Baby Immunisations
6) Administer vaccines and medications as needed
7) Chronic Disease Management (at least one; Diabetes, COPD, Asthma)
8) Educate Patients on health management and lifestyle choices
9) Clinical Lead for Immunisations

Additional practice requirements would be;

10) Assisting with ordering & stock takes
11) Fridge and Stock Rotations
12) Phlebotomy
13) Dealing with Samples
14) Wound Dressings & supporting the Healthcare Assistants with these
15) Assist in Minor Surgical Procedures
16) Infection Control Lead
