Together in Learning is recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEN school in Coventry, CV3 for a Teaching Assistant with experience in special educational needs to support their Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) class from September 2025.

We are seeking a qualified or experienced professional who is hands-on, compassionate, and understanding when working with pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition and other complex learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored support to pupils with ASC, complex learning needs, and mild to profound and multiple learning disabilities. Assist the classroom teacher in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies. Create and maintain a safe, positive, and nurturing learning environment. Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers. Support the social and emotional development of pupils, encouraging positive behaviour and active engagement in learning. Work both one-to-one and in small groups, adapting resources and approaches to suit individual learning needs.

To Qualify You'll Need:

Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs, particularly within EYFS. A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent. A strong understanding of SEN and effective strategies for supporting pupils with complex needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting the holistic development of children. The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, as well as independently when required.
