Support, Educate and Nurture.

We are currently looking for a part time or full time EYFS Teaching Assistant. The position is to start after half term.

We are looking for someone from an EYFS background to support a pupil 1:1 and also in class.

The role

You will be working as part of a support team assisting the teacher in delivering lessons planned specifically for pupils' needs. Using play and creativity to engage the pupil Contribute in creating a safe and nurturing environment You may be expected to fill in reading and learning journals Report back to the teacher effectively Assist at lunch and snack times Support student in outside play activities whilst allowing space for independence Work alongside therapists such as speech and language therapists and music therapists to support the students educational and mental wellbeing
The ideal applicant

Will ideally have a childcare qualification or experience of working with young people at EYFS level Willing to create strong relationships with staff, students and care providers Passionate about working with young people with SEND Great team player adding positivity to the staffing team Flexible and reliable
School hours are 8:30 - 3:30 Monday to Friday.

Safeguarding children is an integral part of what we do and we have a stringent safer recruitment process. We undertake checks on all the candidates we work with. As such we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in Schools. If you do not have a subscription to the DBS Update Service, you may be required to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process. If you take a temporary role with Sense Education you will be paid on a weekly basis. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position but long term. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available.
