Summary
A welcoming mainstream primary school is looking for an EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team. This is a long-term temporary role with an immediate start available and the potential to become permanent.
The Opportunity
This position offers the chance to work closely with Reception-aged children, providing support for learning, behaviour, and social development. You'll assist with group activities and 1:1 support, especially for children with additional needs, helping them feel settled, confident, and ready to learn.
Ideal Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will have:
A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification or be qualified by experience
Experience working with children with SEND
A background in early years, care, or education
A patient, encouraging, and creative approach to support
Strong communication and collaboration skills

Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.30pm. Applications are welcome from both full-time and part-time candidates.

Safeguarding children is an integral part of what we do and we have a stringent safer recruitment process. We undertake checks on all the candidates we work with. As such we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in Schools. If you do not have a subscription to the DBS Update Service, you may be required to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process. If you take a temporary role with Sense Education you will be paid on a weekly basis. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position but long term. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available.
