Are you a nurturing, patient and enthusiastic individual with a passion for supporting early years education? A welcoming and well-established primary school in Mansfield is seeking a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team after the October half-term break.

The Role

This is a full-time position working within a Nursery or Reception class, supporting the class teacher and children with their learning and daily routines. You'll help deliver the EYFS curriculum, provide tailored support for individual pupils, and create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.

Responsibilities

Support children's learning through structured play and planned activities Assist with the delivery of the EYFS Framework Monitor, observe and record pupil progress and development Encourage social, emotional and communication skills Maintain a calm, stimulating and inclusive classroom atmosphere Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO and parents to support individual needs

Requirements

Experience working within an Early Years setting, ideally in a primary school Good understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development A caring, consistent and professional approach Strong communication and teamwork skills A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare or Teaching Assistance is highly desirable
