Are you a passionate and experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant with a Level 3 qualification? Do you have a strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and a genuine interest in supporting children with SEN?

We are currently seeking a dedicated and nurturing

EYFS Teaching Assistant

to join a vibrant and inclusive nursery school in the heart of Newham. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of young children and be part of a supportive team committed to early childhood development.

The Role:

Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging and age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including those with speech and language needs, autism and social/emotional difficulties Monitor and track children's progress, feeding back to teachers and SENCo Foster a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment where all children can thrive Assist with personal care where required, following safeguarding and school policies Engage in planning, observations and assessments to contribute to high-quality early years provision
The Ideal Candidate:

Holds a

relevant Level 3 qualification

in Early Years or Childcare (e.g. CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent) -

essential

Previous experience working within an EYFS setting - ideally within a school or nursery environment Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and development matters Experience supporting children with SEN - essential Confident in using strategies such as PECS, Makaton, visual timetables, or sensory-based approaches (desirable) Patient, empathetic and proactive with excellent communication and teamwork skills Committed to the safeguarding and well-being of children
