EYFS Teaching Assistant - Nottingham - September Start

A primary school in the Nottingham area is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support their Early Years provision from September. This full-time position involves working with children in Nursery or Reception, supporting learning, routines, and early development.

The role:

You will work alongside the class teacher to deliver structured activities based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. The focus will be on helping children settle into the school environment, access learning through guided play, and build early communication and social skills.

Key responsibilities:

Support the delivery of classroom activities suited to early development Encourage participation, interaction, and self-confidence Assist with tracking pupil progress and contributing to observation notes Help maintain a calm, safe, and engaging classroom environment Collaborate with staff and contribute to the day-to-day planning
Requirements:

Experience in an EYFS or primary setting is preferred Basic understanding of child development and the EYFS framework A consistent, patient, and professional approach Strong communication and teamwork skills A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification is beneficial
