Do you have a warm, encouraging manner and a real enthusiasm for helping young children learn and grow? A lovely primary school in Retford is looking for an Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their friendly team after the October half-term break.

About the Role

This full-time position will involve working in either Nursery or Reception, supporting the class teacher with learning activities, daily routines and children's personal development. You'll help pupils settle into school life, build early communication and social skills, and enjoy learning through play within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Key Duties

Support the planning and delivery of fun, engaging activities suited to the EYFS framework Encourage children's curiosity, independence and social interaction Help monitor children's development and contribute to progress observations Maintain a caring, organised and inclusive classroom environment Work closely with staff and parents to ensure each child feels valued and supported
Requirements

Experience working with young children in a school or early years setting Knowledge of early child development and the EYFS curriculum A kind, patient and consistent approach to supporting learning Good communication and teamwork skills A relevant qualification such as Level 2 or Level 3 in Early Years, Childcare or Teaching Support is desirable
