EYFS Teaching Assistant - Worksop - September Start

A primary school in the Worksop area is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team from September. This full-time role involves supporting day-to-day classroom learning and routines in either a Reception or Nursery setting.

The role:

You will assist with the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, working closely with the class teacher to provide practical support to pupils as they begin their school journey. The role includes supporting individual needs, helping children develop early communication and social skills, and encouraging participation in structured play and learning activities.

Key responsibilities:

Support classroom activities in line with EYFS objectives Assist with learning through play-based and guided activities Contribute to pupil observation and record keeping Encourage social interaction, independence, and self-regulation Help maintain a safe and engaging learning environment Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCO, and families
Requirements:

Experience supporting children in an EYFS setting, preferably in a school environment A practical understanding of child development and the EYFS curriculum A calm, consistent, and approachable manner Good teamwork and communication skills A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification is advantageous
