Overview

A leading specialist subcontractor operating within the commercial and residential construction sector is seeking a talented Facade Designer to join their well-established technical team based in the Erith, Dartford area. This is an excellent opportunity to join a company with a strong pipeline of prestigious projects across London and the South East.

Working closely with internal teams, clients, and main contractors, you will help deliver high-quality, buildable design solutions for a range of complex facade packages.

Key Responsibilities:

Produce detailed drawings, elevations, sections, and schedules. Develop system designs in line with project requirements, building regulations, and client specifications. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and site teams to ensure design intent and buildability. Attend design meetings and site visits as required. Provide technical support and input throughout the design, fabrication, and installation phases. Review supplier drawings and ensure integration with overall facade packages.

Requirements

:

Proven experience in facade design within a subcontracting or specialist contractor environment. Proficient in AutoCAD; experience with 3D modelling software (e.g., Revit or SolidWorks) is advantageous. Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and facade performance standards. Excellent attention to detail, communication, and coordination skills. Able to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
