Overview

A leading specialist subcontractor within the commercial and residential construction sector is seeking a Facade Designer to join their established technical team based in Erith, near Dartford. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a well-respected company with a strong pipeline of prestigious projects across London and the South East.

Working collaboratively with internal departments, clients, and main contractors, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality, buildable facade design solutions for a range of complex schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

Produce detailed drawings, elevations, sections, and schedules. Develop and refine system designs in line with project specifications, building regulations, and client requirements. Liaise closely with architects, engineers, and site teams to ensure design intent and constructability. Attend design coordination meetings and site visits as necessary. Provide ongoing technical input throughout design, fabrication, and installation stages. Review supplier drawings and ensure seamless integration within the overall facade system.

Requirements:

Proven background in facade design Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with 3D and 2D modelling software (e.g., Revit) is desirable. Solid understanding of UK Building Regulations and facade performance standards. Excellent attention to detail, communication, and coordination skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively to tight deadlines.
