Factory Production Colleague

Location: Starna Scientific Ltd, Hainault Business Park, 52-54 Fowler Road, Hainault, Ilford, Essex IG6 3UT

Hours: 39.75 hours per week (Mon-Thu 08:00-16:45 and Fri 08:00-15:15)

Salary: Starting at 12.21 with the scope to increase at 6,12, & 15 months

Please note: Only Full Time, Permanent positions are available. Applicants must have the Right to Work in the UK and must be able to reliably commute to IG6 3UT

We are seeking people with various practical skills for a variety of roles in the manufacture of high-precision optical components. Roles on offer include:

Optical polishing - learn how to precisely hand polish glass components

Optical grinding - precision engineering of glass

To be considered for the role you must be able to demonstrate the following skills:

Willingness to learn new skills and progress

Excellent hand-eye co-ordination

High levels of attention to detail

Patient and calm approach

Basic numeracy

There is a high level of care and attention to detail required for these roles. It may appeal to anyone with an interest or experience in fine detail work such as model making, sculpting, jewellery making, furniture making.
