We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fettler to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in using hand tools to deburr, grind and polish materials and fabrications. This role is essential in ensuring the quality and precision of our products, contributing to the overall success of our manufacturing process.

Manthorpe Engineering specialise in fabrications for the Nuclear, Defence, Sub-sea and Process Industries, working in a wide range of materials and thicknesses, in our purpose built fabrication facility.

Duties

Utilise hand tools and machinery to grind, deburr, and finish metal components to specified tolerances. Removal of weld spatter from welded fabrications Ensure all work undertaken meets the required quality control standards. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to improve processes and resolve any production issues that may arise.

Qualifications

Proficient in the use of hand tools, with experience in heavy duty fabrication. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications. Experience in fork lift driving and overhead crane use is highly desirable. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating good communication skills. A proactive approach to problem-solving with a keen attention to detail.
