YOUR ROLE:
As our Assistant Care Manager, you'll be the heartbeat of the team. You'll:
Supervise and support a team of dedicated Carers, ensuring they deliver safe, effective, and top-quality care.
Perform spot checks and assess Carer competencies to uphold quality standards. Monitor the performance of Carers through regular reviews, ensuring we adhere to company policies and consistently deliver excellence.
Assist with care planning updates to reflect changing client needs.Carry out regular reviews of individual services, changing needs, and inform the care management team of any updates needed.
Shadow and support new care workers to ensure their competence and confidence in delivering person-centred care.
Conduct on-site observations and evaluations of care worker practices to maintain high standards.
Assist in creating robust care plans by taking on some care duties, especially during complex or transitional cases.
Assist in interviewing new Carers and complete shadowing checklists to ensure effective onboarding.
Assist in managing medication and stock, assist with medication audits, and support notes audits for compliance.
Undertake ad-hoc administrative duties supporting the Care Manager with the needs of the business as required.
Attend business-related events such as socials, memory cafes, coffee mornings, job fairs, festivals, Thrive clubs, etc.
You'll also need to be ready to cover emergency care visits when needed, ensuring continuity and peace of mind for our clients.
ABOUT YOU:
We're looking for someone who:
Holds or is willing to work towards a social care qualification
Has a proven track record of building strong, positive relationships with clients and healthcare professionals
Has previous experience in the care sector
Is confident in planning and organising workloads to ensure clients' needs are met
Has the ability to lead, manage, and motivate a team of Carers while providing support, guidance, and training.
