Fireward supplies and installs market-leading automatic fire suppression systems across the UK for a number of industries including waste and recycling plants, CNC manufacturing and domestic kitchens.

With our head office based in Chelmsford, Essex we have a team of skilled engineers based all over the UK. We are proud that our systems hold multiple approvals and accreditations such as P-Mark SPCR 183/199, UNECE R107, UL Components, and LPCB LPS 1666.

Overview of Role:

The Field Engineer role is at the very front line of delivering engineering excellence to our customers. We will require you to install, service and maintain Fireward Fire Suppression Systems at customer premises across the North East , North West and Scotland areas. Supplied with a fully stocked mobile workshop we strive to achieve the best support in the UK market with a high level of attention to detail.

Key Accountabilities:

The Role:

Install, Service and maintain Fireward Fire Suppression Systems to manufacturers' standards and specifications throughout various industries and a wide variety of machinery Maintain and control van stock levels to ensure Fireward are able to offer a first-time fix, every time. Perform maintenance or call-outs in line with manufacturer installation guidelines To commission systems as required and provide correct documentation and photographs upon the completion of each job Attend customer sites & perform jobs in accordance with scheduling as directed by the Operations Department Home-based mobile position travelling within the UK. Overnight stays may be required
Key Skills & Experience:

Experience of lone working across the country on installation/maintenance type projects General engineering or mechanical background working on vehicles or fixed installations, preferably with experience in heavy plant. Able to work with smartphone-based apps Ability to stay calm under pressure, and deal with customer issues and queries. Feedback information to relevant departments Be self-confident, polite, and courteous with a customer-friendly approach Must have a full UK driver's licence
