Field Sales Manager
to lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Territory Sales Managers.
The Role
The
Field Sales Manager
is responsible for driving sales performance across multiple territories. You will lead a team of Territory Sales Managers, ensuring they are motivated, supported, and fully equipped to deliver exceptional results. This role combines coaching, sales leadership, and strategic execution.
What You'll Do
Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Territory Sales Managers
Support and coach TSMs through field visits and regular 1:1s working in conjunction with the Sales Training Manager (STM)
Drive delivery of revenue, margin, and growth targets across all territories
Translate company sales strategy into actionable territory-level plans
Monitor pipeline health and ensure disciplined use of CRM tools
Support key customer visits and negotiations
Track team performance and deliver accurate forecasting
Share market intelligence and competitor insights with senior leadership
Build a high-performance sales culture based on accountability and collaboration
What We're Looking For
Experience managing or mentoring field-based salespeople
Strong background in foodservice, wholesale, FMCG, or similar sectors
Exceptional leadership and people development skills
Commercially sharp with strong forecasting and pipeline discipline
Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities
Full UK driving licence
