Job Description

We're looking for a reliable, and team-focused Finance and Administration Officer to join our charity. In this role, you'll help keep our financial processes running smoothly while supporting the day-to-day administrative needs that keep our team working at its best. You'll collaborate closely with teams across all areas of the organisation, contribute to a positive and organised work environment, and play an important part in ensuring we operate efficiently and responsibly.

This is a full-time position with a salary of 28,500 per annum.

As part of our friendly and skilled team, you'll play a key role in developing our financial systems, processes and efficiency.

Key tasks and responsibilities



Planning



Assist and administer the accounting systems and financial processes, being responsible for the day-to-day financial information

Support the preparation of accounts for the end of year audit

Prepare banking

Prepare payroll and associated transactions

Collaborate with the team to plan the area's workload

Support the processing of end of month accounts

Delivery



Maintain accurately the day-to-day financial activities

Sort, reconcile and record monies paid to Centre4

Create invoices and associated processes to ensure revenue levels are maintained

Assist in keeping funding spreadsheets up to date

Manage banking processes

Work in a varied setting, with commercial and charitable income being equally important to our viability

Work with an approach that helps us bring continuous improvement to systems, processes, and efficiencies

Bring excellent ICT skills and willing to support the drive towards our paperless system. We use Xero

Support the Senior Leadership Team with administrative tasks

Support the Head of Service to maintain HR compliance and resourcing

Engagement



Provide excellent customer service

Interact and co-operate with all members of the Centre4 team and its suppliers and customers

Bring a willingness to embrace our ethos and approach

Compliance and quality



Maintain quality systems, with an eye on development for efficiency and quality

Monitoring and evaluation



Assist with credit control

Maintain financial records across a range of systems and processes

Maintain accurate and safe record keeping recording actions and events in line with current legislation

Provide advice and guidance to SLT when required

Design and prepare comprehensive outcome focussed reports as needed

Finance and funding



Support the Senior Leadership Team in planning, monitoring and reporting of charitable finances, budgeting and forecasting

Ensure activities are managed within agreed budgets

Order and monitor goods and services, process invoices and billing correctly in line with procedures

Working for Centre4

Other duties
