Finance Apprentice - Vehicle Accident Repair Centre

About Us

We are a busy, insurance-approved vehicle accident repair centre specialising in high-quality body repairs. We are looking for a motivated and detail-focused Finance Apprentice to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to begin a career in finance while gaining hands-on experience in the automotive repair sector and working towards a recognised qualification (AAT or equivalent).

Key Responsibilities

Process purchase invoices for parts, paint and subcontractor services Assist with raising sales invoices to insurance companies, credit account customers and retail customers Support accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks Maintain accurate records and digital filing systems Reconcile job cards, estimates and final invoices Track repair costs, parts usage and insurance authorisations Update bodyshop management systems (e.g., Audatex and Autoflow) Ensure all costs are captured before jobs are closed Input financial data into spreadsheets and Sage 50 Accounts accounting software Assist with daily/weekly financial reporting and WIP updates Support month-end tasks, including parts and materials statement reconciliations Communicate with customers, insurers and suppliers to resolve finance queries Liaise with internal teams to verify pricing and cost accuracy Liaise with Finance Manager for ad-hoc tasks Complete all apprenticeship training and coursework on time

What We're Looking For

Strong numeracy and attention to detail Good organisational and communication skills Confident using IT systems, including Excel Ability to work in a fast-paced environment GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English Interest in the automotive repair industry is an advantage but not a necessity
