Due to maternity leave, an opportunity has arisen to join this friendly team at the heart of the business. We are seeking an experienced Finance Assistant who holds, or is eager to develop, the skills needed to support the business during this period, with the possibility of a permanent role.
Working in a small Finance team, you will support the company in a wide variety of finance areas, such as :
Purchase ledger invoice processing from receipt through to payment
Raising sales invoices accurately
Weekly payroll processing
Maintaining the accuracy of the Sage databases
Ensuring the shared Accounts email inbox is kept clear and organised
Keeping a tight control of the filing and organisation of the finance office
Other ad-hoc finance tasks as required
You will be able to clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:
Previous, recent experience of working in a similar role
AAT/CIMA/ACCA qualified or part qualified (ideal, but not essential)
Good IT skills - competent in Outlook and Excel
Highly organised
Sage 50/200 experience advantageous
High attention to detail
The ability to ask for assistance if unsure, no guessing
Excellent communication skills
