The Finance Manager, Corporate Tax will support the core activities of the Corporation Tax team at Heathrow, including compliance, reporting, forecasting and capital allowances. They will play an important role within this small, supportive team to ensure that the group complies with Corporation Tax legislation, meeting both external and internal tax reporting obligations, and identify and implement tax process automation and improvement opportunities.
In this role you will work closely with both the Corporation Tax Lead and Corporation Tax Compliance & Reporting Manager, whilst reporting into the Head of Tax.
Supporting the Tax team in maintaining good relations with HMRC, including liaising with HMRC on various issues as they arise and managing cash tax paid via the portal.
Preparation of the group's corporation tax computations in Onesource, ensuring submission to HMRC in a timely manner, compliance with UK tax legislation, appropriate controls and checks are adopted and implemented and that process notes are kept up to date.
Preparation of group and entity tax figures and disclosures for inclusion in the statutory accounts on a UK GAAP and IFRS basis, in conjunction with others, on a half-year and annual basis.
Preparation of tax forecasts and calculation of effective tax rates as a basis for estimating quarterly tax payments and meeting internal business plan requirements.
Review the tax treatment of completed capital projects in line with the process and manage review tracker.
Qualified ACA or CTA graduate and preferably some industry experience.
Big 4 experience and experience from a large corporate entity desirable.
Enthusiasm for, and experience of, automation and efficiency improvements.
Detailed knowledge of Onesource for compliance (and reporting).
Excellent IT skills specifically strong knowledge of Excel.
