Finance Officer based at our offices in Stourport on Severn,
Worcestershire
(part time position - 3 to 4 days per week with some flexibility as to hours)
A very highly respected asset management and fraud investigation company are looking for an experienced Finance Officer to join our Finance Team reporting to the Finance Director.
We are looking to recruit from the local area as, once trained, the successful applicant will be an office key holder. Due to access to confidential information, all employees are security screened (BS 7858).
Skills/Qualifications required:-
2 years + accounts experience
AAT qualification (or equivalent) is essential
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Sage 50 experience
Good Excel skills
Word
Ability to work independently and within a team
Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Problem solving skills
Administration skills
Good communication skills
Duties will include (but not be limited to):-
Daily reconciliation of stock / dealing with queries
Sales invoice preparation
Credit control
Using sage 50 software
Sales ledger - raising sales invoices against Sales orders
Invoicing clients
Purchase Ledger - checking off supplier invoices and entering them onto sage
Checking off Supplier statements
Dealing with supplier queries
Recording all expenses onto sage, receipts, mileage claims, ad-hoc expenses
Dealing with company insurance renewals and managing records
Administration of company vehicles - ensuring Tax & MOT are renewed
Administrative support to other departments on an ad-hoc basis, when required.
Answering external calls, advising callers and taking messages
Other duties as instructed by the Finance Director
