We're a growing team with a strong operational backbone -- and we're now looking for someone to take ownership of our day-to-day finance operations so that our leadership team can stay focused on growth and strategy.
The Role
We're looking for a
Finance Operations Assistant
to manage the day-to-day flow of invoices, payments, and financial admin across the business. You'll work closely with our Directors and Operations team, and external accountants to ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
You'll be the go-to person for:
Processing supplier invoices and uploading them to Xero / Quickbooks
Managing the finance inbox and keeping it organised
Tracking outgoing payments and ensuring suppliers are paid on time
Reconciling payments and matching bank transactions
Monitoring incoming funds from OTAs (Booking.com, Airbnb, etc.)
Assisting with weekly and monthly cashflow tracking
Preparing payment runs and sending to Directors for approval
Supporting the month-end process alongside our accountants
Chasing outstanding payments and ensuring rent / management fees are up to date
Maintaining accurate finance records and ensuring data consistency
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Support budget preparation and monitoring activities.
Conduct reconciliations of bank statements and accounts.
Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial data.
Assist with audits by providing required documentation and information.
What You'll Bring
2+ years' experience in a finance, accounts, or bookkeeping role
Hospitality experience is a must
- this can be gained working for a hotel or serviced apartment company.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good understanding of Xero or similar accounting software
Organised, proactive, and confident with deadlines
Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills
Excellent written communication (email clarity is key)
Comfortable working remotely and managing your own time
Experience working in hospitality or property (a bonus, not essential)
