The Finance Operations Assistant (Premium) supports the effective financial management of Tedaisy by implementing processes that ensure compliance with regulations and enhance operational accuracy and efficiency
Responsibilities
Adhere to and promote the Company's financial procedures and compliance standards
Assist with the clearance of current processing backlogs
Execute the collection of unpaid premiums in line with company policies
Monitor and manage failed payments, proactively contacting customers via email and SMS to arrange settlement before commencing policy cancellation procedures
Administer policy cancellations for non-payment in accordance with company processes, ensuring customers are clearly informed of the implications
Check customer premium payments and process refunds for overpayments accurately and promptly
Maintain accurate financial records using internal systems and spreadsheets, ensuring all actions are well-documented
Work closely with internal teams such as Customer Services, Retentions, and Claims to facilitate smooth financial operations
Support automation initiatives to streamline premium collection and reconciliation processes
Respond to financial queries from colleagues, clients, and stakeholders professionally and accurately
Experience, Qualifications & Skills
Working knowledge of financial processes within the insurance industry (or similar), with an understanding of relevant regulations and compliance requirements
Maths GSCE or equivalent
Previous experience in a finance or insurance operations role (e.g. Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, or similar) is preferable
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
Confident in using Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet tools to manage and analyse data
An analytical mindset with the ability to identify discrepancies and trends
A proactive and collaborative approach to problem solving and team interaction
