Job Description

We are recruiting to a critical post within the Trust, to develop and maintain the systems and processes used within the finance function, and support our strategy for better use of technology, automation and wider process improvement.



We are looking for a systems expert who is technologically very adept and who will thrive within the innovative culture at UCLH, and lead our work to improve our finance systems and processes. The post holder will be a technical expert on our finance systems and data, as well as being responsible for ensuring system availability and supporting users to make the best use of the systems and associated data to support financial management and control across the Trust, in line with our aim to automate more processes.



This post holder will also ensure that interface data is processed in a timely way and is accurate and complete, in full support of the transactional and month end reporting processes.



This is a key influencing role, requiring the ability to interact and build working relationships with users at all levels within the Trust and active engagement with suppliers of the systems to ensure consistent delivery for both availability and system and application support and promote ideas for enhancements and other developments. In addition, this role is a key contact for:



Our central ICT team for more general IT and technology related matters. Other functions where specific systems used within the Trust have significant interactions with the ledgers (in particular EHRS/Pharmacy). Other system providers providing key inputs to the ledgers (including ESR and NHS Supply Chain).

The primary responsibilities of the post holder are:



System development, process improvement and automation of the Trust's Finance Systems. Day-to-day management of the Trust's Finance Systems function Owning the relationship with system suppliers. BAU system maintenance and accounting. Data analytics.
