About You\xe2\x80\xa6

You must be a qualified accountant for this position (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) and have at least two years\' post-qualified experience. You will have a comprehensive understanding of governance and financial control, with the aspiration of working within a reporting-based role whereby you are relied upon across the business for the delivery of reporting. The leadership team are looking for a candidate with vision and will empower this person to challenge and drive their own ideas throughout the business.

Purpose Of The Role\xe2\x80\xa6

The purpose of this role is to be the "go-to" expert on all aspects of technical accounting, delivering accurate and timely consolidated accounts for the business and statutory accounts for a number of separate legal entities. The Financial Accountant will ensure the external audit is well managed and stakeholders are kept up to date with key developments. Other deliverables include, management accounts production, maintenance of the fixed assets register, overseeing the submission of statutory and compliance returns including tax, assist in production meaningful cash flow reporting and providing technical advice to the wider finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring widespread understanding of technical accounting standards (UK GAAP/IFRS) and the impacts of changes to financial legislation on the business
• Support with the preparation of monthly management accounts, annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
• Identify and quantify areas of financial opportunity and risk
• Produce meaningful working capital analysis
• Delivery of Group consolidations
• Ensure Statutory Accounts are produced in a timely and accurate manner.
• Prepare Corporation Tax packs during the year and at year-end for external tax advisors
• Produce and review all assigned balance sheet accounts and ensure risk is fully understood
• Act as the key point of contact for the External Auditors
• Manage the VAT and all employee tax requirements in conjunction with the Accounting team
• Provide accurate and timely acquisition accounting
• Take ownership for delivering Company Secretarial duties, including submission of confirmation statements and changes in directors
• Manage insurance liabilities and associated processes
