Job Title: Accountant

Length: 9-month contract

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract

Salary: \xc2\xa355,000

Location: Central Oxford

Hybrid: 2 days in the office per week

Start Date: ASAP

The Role

This role covers aspects of Financial Accounting and Management Reporting, ranging from maintaining records to financial reporting and production of Statutory Accounts. You will be responsible for key elements of the internal and external financial reporting for the business, improvements in efficiency and coordination between central accounting services, local business management and throughout the group.

Key Duties:

• Maintenance of all General ledger, subsidiary ledgers and related documentation
• Monthly management accounts - Oversee the timely production of the monthly management figures and reporting requirements for senior management.
• Support for statutory accounts preparation - under IFRS
• Liaison with business partners on all accounting matters and forecasting
• Systems improvements - Highlight and propose beneficial changes to business processes including automation of transaction recording e.g. help with the ongoing move to fully automate the group invoicing and payment systems.
• Improvement of documentation and controls
• Ad hoc projects - involvement with specific finance change projects that are identified from time to time, working with all relevant departments including other corporate functions and internal audit in order to achieve results.
