Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fire Door Maintainer and Installer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication and assembly, with hands-on experience using both hand and power tools. This role involves working on various construction projects, including reactive maintenance. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high-quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards.
Duties
The Fire Door Maintainer and Installer will be expected to carry out work on construction projects and maintenance in construction buildings across Scotland to a high quality standard. You will report directly to the Contracts Manager who will assign your workload. Previous experience with installing and maintaining fire doors would be desirable. A driving license is essential.
Experience
7 Years minimum joinery experience following completion of apprenticeship
Familiarity with fabrication techniques and assembly processes is highly desirable
Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to construction work
A strong understanding of health and safety regulations within the construction industry
Experience of working with fire doors is essential
Understanding of the BM Trada Scheme requirements in deseriable
Require a UK driving license.
Due to the nature of the buildings that we operate in there is a requirement for vetting to take place. We are unable to hire candidates who cannot pass the required vetting.
