We are seeking a skilled Fire Stopper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing fire-stopping systems to prevent the spread of fire and smoke within buildings. This role requires a strong understanding of various construction techniques and materials, as well as the ability to work effectively with a variety of tools and equipment. The Fire Stopper will play a critical role in ensuring safety and compliance with building regulations.
Duties
Install fire-stopping materials in walls, floors, and ceilings to create effective barriers against fire and smoke.
Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure proper installation techniques are followed.
Conduct inspections of existing fire-stopping systems to assess their effectiveness and compliance with safety standards.
Utilise hand tools and power tools for the installation of fire-stopping products.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Document installation processes and report any issues or concerns to management.
Experience
Candidates should possess experience in one or more of the following areas:
Carpentry
Roofing
Construction painting
Plumbing
Masonry
Welding
Electrical experience
Fabrication
A strong familiarity with hand tools and power tools is essential. Previous experience in fire stopping or related fields will be considered an advantage. The successful applicant will demonstrate attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Job Types: Part-time, Freelance
Pay: 140.23-230.00 per day
Expected hours: 20 - 50 per week
