Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fireplace Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various construction trades, ensuring the safe and efficient installation of fireplaces in residential and commercial properties. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Duties

Install fireplaces, including wood-burning, gas, and electric models, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes. Perform carpentry tasks related to fireplace installation, including framing and finishing work. Conduct roofing work as necessary for chimney installations or repairs. Engage in construction painting to ensure the aesthetic appeal of installed units. Execute plumbing tasks related to gas line installations or modifications. Carry out masonry work for the construction of chimneys or fireplace surrounds. Utilise welding techniques for custom installations or repairs as required. Apply electrical experience for the installation of electric fireplaces or related systems. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installations. Fabricate components as needed to ensure a perfect fit for each installation project.

Requirements

Proven experience in carpentry, roofing, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, welding, and electrical work is highly desirable. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to fireplace installation. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow technical specifications and safety guidelines. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot installation issues effectively. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Strong communication skills to liaise with clients and team members effectively. A valid driver's licence is preferred for travel between job sites.
