The Compliance Assistant will support the day-to-day management of compliance, HR administration, and health & safety processes across the business. This role is responsible for ensuring key compliance areas are monitored, documented, and maintained in line with company policies and external requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Toll & Charges Management
Ensure all toll accounts remain up to date and reconciled.
Manage all Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs), ensuring timely payment and recharging to relevant parties.
Accident & Insurance Handling
Manage all accident reports and liaise directly with the company's insurance broker.
Maintain accurate records of accidents and incident outcomes.
HR & Onboarding
Collate induction packs for all new employees.
Issue contracts of employment and ensure HR folders are set up and maintained.
Support HR with maintaining compliance records and documentation.
Health & Safety
Act as point of contact for the new Health & Safety provider.
Distribute new H&S documents to staff and ensure signatures are collected and filed.
General Compliance Administration
Support with the implementation of compliance policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate records to ensure the business remains compliant with internal and external requirements.
Assist in audits, reviews, and internal checks when required.
Skills & Experience
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Previous experience in compliance, administration, HR support, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
Ability to work independently, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
