Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Food Preparation Worker to join our team. In this role you be responsible for preparing fresh vegetables in our in house prep room located in Mochdre Colwyn Bay. Daily responsibilities include but not limited to Slicing, Dicing and Cutting in a timely fashion, Ensuring that all food safety standards are met and cleaning rota checked and using commercial machines after some in house training.

Duties

Assist in the preparation of ingredients for orders, including washing and chopping. Using of commercial machines mainly potato peeler rumblers. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the prep room area, including equipment and utensils. Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Completing opening and closing procedures. Monitor inventory levels of stock and next day orders Participate in the cleaning and sanitation of kitchen equipment after use. Communicating with the rest of the team to ensure order are fulfilled daily and spares for next day.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food preparation or a culinary environment is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is highly desirable. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. A positive attitude and willingness to learn. Ability to work early morning shifts and weekends. Ability to make own way to work.
