Tradewind are currently seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join an outstanding school in Barnsley, starting in September 2023. The role is full-time and will be across KS3 and KS4.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivering high-quality Food Technology lessons to students across different age groups, in line with the national curriculum.
  • Inspiring and motivating students to develop a passion for food, nutrition, and the practical application of culinary skills.
  • Planning and executing engaging practical sessions that allow students to experiment, create, and develop their culinary techniques.
  • Assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and implementing strategies to support their individual learning needs.
  • Collaborating with a dedicated team of educators to develop innovative teaching resources and cross-curricular initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, specialising in Food Technology or a related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of food science, nutrition, culinary techniques, and industry standards.
  • Proven experience in delivering outstanding Food Technology lessons and achieving excellent results.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • DBS on the update service.
